Join us Wednesday morning at 7:30am in the Great Hall - Kitchi Gammi Club (831 E Superior St., Duluth, MN 55802) as we hear from Alec Beaulieu with the Minnesota Star Tribune.
I’m the Northern Minnesota Account Executive for the Minnesota Star Tribune & Foundry North, working with businesses from St. Cloud to Canada, Duluth to Fargo, and everywhere in between. While my primary territory is Northern Minnesota, I also collaborate with clients across the country, thanks to the Foundry North's strong national presence. My role focuses on generating new business, developing and managing effective advertising and marketing campaigns, reporting ROI and campaign performance, and building lasting relationships with my clients. Among the list of Minnesota Star Tribune initiatives, I also work with the Minnesota State Fair, MN Rising, Strib Varsity, The Good Life, Northstar Summit, Top Workplaces, MN Best, The Wrap, Talking Volumes, and many more.
Mike Ryth, last week's speaker from the Alzheimer's Foundation, wanted to share some additional information with you. If anyone is interested in learning more, joining a committee, or signing up for the walk on 9/20/25 @ 10am @ DECC, please see the following information:
I want to share the attached health care statistics that I receive from Dr. Jose', Mano a Mano Bolivia. Of the thirteen medical clinics that Rotarians and Rotary District 5580 have supported in Bolivia, there were almost 32,000 patient visits in the first semester of this year. That's over 175 patient visits a day! These clinics are sustainable, and we are helping a huge number of Bolivians with access to medical care in some of the most poverty-stricken areas of the country. Thank you all for your support!
We hope to start up one more medical clinic with the dedication of the Cesarzama clinic in September. We are within $3000 of initiating the construction of another one with the Anchallani clinic in the Altiplano region near La Paz. Thank you all for helping support these projects to help the indigenous people in these communities!
Thanks to Kay Biga and the Pachel Foundation who are sponsoring Rotarian Night at the Duluth Playhouse again on Thursday, September 11. The musical will be "Million Dollar Quartet" set on December 4, 1956 at Sun Records in Memphis when Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley had a jam session. This will be free to Rotarians and guests.
The show is at 7:30 pm with doors open at 6 for snacks and drinks.
