Harbortown’s Community Service Chair presents Duluth Ordean East Middle School

 

Harbortown’s Community Service Chair presents Duluth Ordean East Middle School a donation as partial funding of the 6^th Grade JA(Junior Achievement) Biz Town Project. The entire 6^th grade class (over 340 students!) have the opportunity to learn about economic concepts in an interactive, hands-on environment.  Students elect officials, interview for employment positions, and run businesses. All lessons and  activities meet the MN common core standards in Math, English Language Arts and Social Studies. On hand to receive the donation are the Ass’t Principal and two of the 6^th grade teachers.
